Use only TurboChef approved cleaning chemicals. Using any other cleaning products may critically damage the oven components and void the warranty. You will need the following supplies:

  • TurboChef Oven Cleaner (Part # 103180CS)
  • TurboChef Oven Guard (Part # 103181CS)
  • Nylon scrub pad
  • Cleaning towel
  • Disposable gloves
  • Protective eyewear
  • Dust mask (optional)

Step 1: Turn off both ovens by touching the Off icons on both the top oven screen and bottom oven screen.  Then open the oven doors. Warning: The ovens operate at temperatures up to 550°F (285°F). Allow proper cooling to prevent injury. DO NOT clean the ovens until the ovens no longer display COOLING DOWN.

Step 2: Remove and clean the wire racks for both the top and bottom ovens. Wash, rinse, and sanitize the wire racks.

Warning: Make sure the oven interior is cool before removing the wire rack.

Step 3: Remove and clean the grease filters (top and bottom ovens). First, lift the grease filter by the handle and pull it forward. Then wash and gently rinse the grease filter using hot water. Warning: Do NOT use a water jet or scrub the grease filter.

Step 4: Clean the cook chambers (top and bottom ovens). To do so, use a food vacuum or damp towel to remove food particles from the cook chambers. Then spray Oven Cleaner onto the top, bottom, and sides of the oven interior. Caution! Do NOT spray Oven Cleaner into the holes on the back-oven walls or directly onto cook chamber lamps. Doing so may damage oven components and void the warranty.

Cleaning Tips:

To clean stubborn stains, spray Oven Cleaner and allow it to penetrate for 5 minutes. Clean the oven interiors using a nylon scrub pad. Wipe each cook chamber with a clean damp towel, and then a dry towel.

Step 5: Clean the top and bottom oven doors. Clean the metal portion of the oven doors with Oven Cleaner and a nylon scrub pad. Gently clean the glass windows with Oven Cleaner and a cleaning towel. Wipe the doors and windows with a clean, damp towel and then a dry towel. See the next step for important cautions.

CAUTION: Do NOT use abrasive cleaning supplies, such as steel wool, to clean the glass windows. Using abrasives may scratch the windows. When cleaning the glass windows, do NOT apply excessive force. Repairs will not be covered by warranty.

CAUTION: Do NOT scrub or attempt to clean the oven door gasket. Doing so may cause mis-alignment of the oven doors, and repairs will not be covered by warranty.

Step 6: Apply Oven Guard (top and bottom ovens). To do so, spray Oven Guard onto a clean towel. Wipe the interior walls and the inside of the oven doors. Caution: Do NOT spray Oven Guard into the holes on the back walls or directly onto the cook chamber lamps. Doing so may damage components, and will not be covered by warranty.

Step 7: Reinstall the grease filters and wire racks for the top and bottom ovens. There are notches on the rear right and left sides of the wire racks which fit over the pins on the sides of the cook chambers. Wire racks must be correctly installed to ensure proper oven operation.

Step 8: Clean the air filter, following this procedure:

  • Remove the air filter from the back of the oven.
  • Rinse the air filter with hot water, but do NOT scrub the filter.
  • Allow the air filter to dry completely before re-installation.

Caution: Blocked air vents are NOT a warrantable claim. The filter must be cleaned regularly or replaced if damaged. During all oven operation, the filter must be in place.

Step 9: Clean the oven exterior. First, wipe the oven exterior with a clean, damp towel. Then wipe the oven exterior with a clean, dry towel.

Caution: Do NOT spray chemicals into any openings, such as the louvers on the side or rear panels. Doing so can damage oven components and void the warranty.
